It can happen at any time, just when your least expecting it your PC develops a fault and your files have gone. Maybe someone accidentally deleted a folder or formatted the wrong disk. Either way, when you lose files it can be difficult or impossible to replace them.
We’ve probably all seen the advert TV about your critical files being backed up to the internet but the need just doesn’t seem to justify the costs.
Storage is cheap and maintaining a backup is very simple and easy to set up.
We can supply backup hardware and show you how to configure your computer to backup your critical files.Â
Whatever the reason, you need never lose a file again and we can advised you on methods and devices that will help to prevent the loss of data in future.

So something has happened and you've already lost data and you hadn't got a backup. All is not lost!
In many cases we can recover the data providing that the internal disk of your PC will still power on.Â

The most important thing to remember if you should find yourself in a position where you have lost data is that, you must immediately try to prevent anything overwriting that missing data.Â

Each time the affected disk is written to, it will reduce the possibility of successful recovery. If we can install your disk into one of our systems, without it having been written to, or as soon after as possible, we will stand a far better chance of recovering the data from it.

Even if this means simply pulling the power from the computer to turn it off without shutting down (which saves configuration settings that have changed whilst your computer was on), this will give us a much better chance at recovering the information.

There are times when your computer just will not behave itself. It won’t turn on, it crashes during boot, it’s on but there’s nothing on the screen or the internet won’t connect just to name a few. As with anything, computers can an do develop faults in the hardware or software and most of the time these are relatively easily and cheaply fixed. If your computer is doing something it shouldn’t, or not doing something it should, we can come out and diagnose the problem and cure the issue. |

Most brand name computers come some form of "system restore" disk that will, restore your PC or Laptop back to it's configuration as it left the factory. Nine times out of ten this will cure some of the annoying software glitches caused by installing software, uninstalling software, or even a virus attack, but it has the undesired effect of erasing your data. If you have no backup then it's gone. It’s pretty simple to back up all your data before hand but few people do not know where all your emails and contacts are kept, and all those internet favourites. Sometimes you might have lost driver and software disks or the one file you downloaded and forgot to backup. We have software that will backup your PC's data and configuration and put it all on another disk, CD or DVD before your system is restored. Once it is restored we can then load back all your email settings, contacts, favourites and licenced software. Afterwards, if anything is missing, you will also have a disk with all the data on it that you can go back to if you need to. |
